Tecstar
PlugPhones are designed to combine a high-quality,
acoustically compensated ear speaker with a generic
ear plug for use on motorcycle sound systems. Two
types of ear-tips are included. To compensate for
differences of ear volume, low-frequency
compensation filters have been designed to provide
the optimum bass response. Four different sizes are
supplied and should be selected empirically on the
basis of personal preference. |
 |
Multifilament eartips that provide an exceptional
fit, especially in ear canals with complex shapes.
Made from Thermoplastic Elastomer these eartips will
also address problems that may be associated with
“mobile ear canals” a condition that afflicts
individuals where the ear canal moves with jaw
movement or when a crash helmet is worn.

Using the PlugPhones
Place the foam (or silicon) inserts on each of
the drivers by sliding it onto the acoustic tube
as far as it will
go. You will probably need to cut them to obtain
the optimum fit – do this in very small
increments.
Insert the smallest LF compensation filter of
the same size into the hole at the back of each
driver. These are
moulded onto the translucent tree of small parts
that come
with you
PlugPhones.
Be careful – these are very
small.
If you feel that you would like more
low-frequency – replace the compensation filter
with the next size up.
|
|
 |
PlugPhone low-frequency Compensation Filters with 4
graduation levels.
These are used to adjust the low
frequency characteristics of the Plugphones and the
amount of outside sound you hear so you remain aware
of road traffic noise
